- There was a great snow storm in the end of February the year ninteen thirty three. In my district Drinagh the snow drifted about six feet high.
There were a great many animals lost in the snow. There were two sheep lost on us and more lost on the people around.
There were two funerals from Broughall to Kilcormac, a distance of about two miles. the snow lay about five feet on the roads and there was no ditch to be seen at all. The people had great difficulty in walking it was through the fields the coffins had to be carried. It took them about two hours to get to Kilcormac cemetery.
