- About a quarter of a mile from Kilcormac there is a fairy fort. the name of the place it is situated in is Annavilla. It is known as a fort sometimes it is called a rath or a ring. It is the only rath in my district and it is about two and a half miles form Broughall school. there is another rath in Drinagh. You cannot see the rath in Annaville from the rath in Drinagh. the shape of the one in Drinagh is round. there are a lot of trees growing round it. There is an entrance at the side of the rath and some times people have walked through it. I myself walked through it on one occasion. there are fairies supposed to be living in it. The owner never touched the land because it is said that if anyone touched anything in it they would not have luck. There are lights seen at certain times(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
