    Patrick Carrol, Bawn was the best runner. He defeated the Leinster Champion in Tullamore in the year 1865, at the hundred yards races.
    Kate Clavin was able to walk to Dublin in one day in the year 1922. John Malone also was.

    Tom Connolly, Castletown was the best mower.
    Owen Malone, Ballina, was the best dancer in the Parish.
