    On the 3rd of September three police men went from Clara to Rohan some pimping intent

    On the 3rd of September three police men went
    From Clara to Rohan some pimping intent
    When home on return they met on their way
    A rambling jack Ass and he was going astray
    T'was like a vile culprit they arrested the ass
    To bring him to pound for an illegal trespass,
    They drove him along to a curve on the road.
    Where the ass was unwilling to leave his abode
    With one sudden bound a large hedge he broke through
    Away like a lynks, boys he instantly flew.
    The peelar ran after him close in his track.
    Determined to bring the poor fugitive back
    He chased him along a hard tedrous round
    Through quagmires and boys half the lenght of a day.
    Till he came to a bridge that was on his course
    For the ass knew that was his only resource.
    When the peeler saw the ass was gaining
