    Local Place names.
    There is a place in the west side of Castletown called Dair na n-sbann. It belongs to William Minnock and Joseph Bracken. Dair na n-sbainn means the Oak of the Rivers. There is a great number of oak trees in it and it is near the Silver River and the River Brosna.
    Brocha.
    There is another place near Dair na nabainn in the West of Castletown Called Brocha. It belongs to Joseph Hickey and Patrick Higgins. It is called Brocha because at one time a lot of Badgers were in it. It is surrounded by big clumps of brushes.
