    Hi there old friend of mine to where are you driving that innocent swine

    "The Tinker from Ardee"
    I. My name is tommy Betty in Clonshanny I do dwell,
    The cause of my misfortune the truth to you I'll tell,
    It was the swopping of a donkey as you might plainly see,
    With a tinker named McCarthy from the town of sweet Ardee.
    2. While coming from the Cloghan Bog all with a load of peat,
    A tinker with a moving van I happened for to meet.
