- To cure an itch rub ink on it.
- To cure scalds the white of an egg rubbed on the scalds will keep them from blistering. It will also kill the pain.
- The way to cure a scald is to get lard and laurel leaves and boil them together. When they are about an hour boiling you are to take it up and take the water off them and leave it to harden. When it is hard you are to rub it on the scald once every day until the scald is better.
