where again his adventures were countless. The name of the places he remained for some years after the insurrection are lost in oblivion but eventually returned to his native place where he lived to be a very old man. He died; he is almost forgotten even his grave is unknown but the ruins of his house still remain and some walls built by the hands of that forgotten Rebel Hero Hugh Keegan.

At the battle field at Ballyellis some strange things are supposed to be seen. If passing by the field between eight and one at night people are supposed to see the British soldiers riding around the field preparing to meet the enemy, and to see the enemy also appearing on the field. You are supposed to hear the war cry. Many people are supposed to have seen this and heard the cry.
