- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)large stones. Some of the stones are standing upright and others lying on the ground these stones are about 4 or 4 1/2 ft in height and about 2 feet broad and some of those are even smaller.
Inside this circle there is a stone standing upright and one lying down on the ground close to the standing one.
This circle is situated in a field belonging to John Grier, Cloughernal Granard, Co. Longford. The word "Cloughernal (Cloc Coirneal means "corner stone" got its name from a huge stone of rectangular shape in John McCabes land. It was blasted years ago for building purposes.
There are two upright stones with Ogham writing on them in a field belonging to James Reilly, Cloughernal, Granard, Co. Longford. These stones are about 6 ft in height and 2 or 2 1/2 ft. broad.
It is supposed that they mark the resting place of giants of olden days.- Bailitheoir
