   The local beliefs held in this district in regard to the weather are as follows.
   (1) The Sun
   When the sun sets red in the evening it is a sign that the next day will be fine and if it rises red in the morning it is a sign that it will rain before the end of that day
   (2) The moon
   When the moon is on its back it is a sign of storm. When there is a circle round the moon it is also a sign of storm, but it is said the nearer the circle to the moon the farther away the storm and the farther away the circle from the moon the nearer the storm.
   (3) The stars
   When the stars are real bright and very few in the sky it is a sign of frost.
   (4) The clouds
   When the clouds are black and seem to be low down in the sky it is a sign of wet weather and when they are bright and high up in the sky you will have fine weather.
