- Travelling folk still call to my district. The same people are doing so for the past ten years. They sell a lot of very useful little things such as gallons, porringers pictures and boot laces and many other articles. The people nearly always buy from them. Some of them are poor and others are not. They oftentimes stay a week or longer along the side of the road. Some of them have carriages and others sleep under a cover. Some of them travel on foot others have spring carts. These travellers are called Gipsies. They get their wants from the people as they go along. They ask for tea, sugar, lard, and milk. The Cawleys and O'Leary's are well known in my district.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
