  1. The following are some provervs which I heard in my district:-
    Smooth waters run deep.
Early to bed, early to rise, make a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
A little pot is soon hot.
    A good fire, speedy cook.
Mind the pennies, and the pounds will mind themselves.
A stitch in time saves nine.
If you don't sow, you won't reap.
    Cleanliness is next to Godliness.
    'Tis a long road hasn't a turn.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
A rolling stone gathers no moss.
There's many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip.
'Tis not the most tears denote the deepest sorrow.
The mills of God grind slowly but surely.
Wilful waste makes a woeful want.
