  1. The following are some of the signs of the weather. Old people say when we see a ring round the moon we can expect rain. When frost is going to come we see the stars sparkling. There is a bow around the Moon when it is going to rain. A Rainbow in the morning is the sign of bad weather. When we see in in the evening we can expect fine weather. When the sun goes down pale bad weather is sure to come. When we see rays from the Sun we can expect broken weather. When the stars are covered we can expect snow. We can expect cold bad weather when the clouds seem to be running across the sky. We can expect bad weather when the moon is on its back. When we see a Mackeril sky rain is sure to follow.
The wind blowing from the North is the sign of bad weather. When the wind blows from the East snow is sure to come. The wind blowing from South is the sign of bad weather. When it blows from the West we can expect rain.
When the little swallows fly low rain is sure to follow. When they fly high we get fine weather. When we see the cat with his back to the fire we can expect bad weather.
