a knock at the door on Sundays if the civic guards were around. This Sunday evening, John went for the milk. He was knocking and knocking and no answer. At last he shouted out.
    "I am no traveller.
    I want no drink.
    I am Ryan the poet.
    And I want my milk.
Paak Ryan had the name of being a poet as well as John. One day Paak asked John the loan of his coat to go to town. The following Saturday came. and there was no sign of Paak coming with the coat. John then wrote a note to Paak in verse.
    Paak Ryan the poet.
    Send me back my coat.
Which you had the assurance to borrow.
Do you think I'm an ass.
    To walk back to Mass.
With my working coat on me tomorrow.
