Cures for Jaundice
Mrs Blamony in Doon has two cures for the Jaundice. For her first cure she gathers herbs and boils them and she leaves them boiling for a long time. She takes the herbs out of the water then and let's water get cold. Next she puts a drop of milk in it and gives it to the sick person.
Her second cure for the Jaundice is to give a sick person milk in which a frog has been boiling.
Cure for Whooping Cough
Ask the first man you meet riding a white horse for a cure. Whatever cure he gives you, will banish the cough.
Cure For The Thrush
The thrush is supposed to be cured by allowing gander to hiss into the mouth of the sick child.
Cures for Burns
A person who licked a lizard nine times was supposed to have a cure for a burn. All he had to do was to lick the burn and it.
Another cure for a burn is to heat olive oil and let it cool. Then mix glycerine with it and rub the mixture to the burn.
Cure For Animals with broken bones
Jim Doyle in Moher has a cane for broken bones in animals. It is called pitoh.(continues on next page)- Collector
