I heard this story a few days ago and this is the way it begins:- There is a man in this district and when he was young a man named Thomas Hennessy took him to Tipperary. Twas about seven o'clock in the morning when the man started out. When they were passing Hanley's moat in Scrag, the man blessed himself and said a prayer. When the young fellow saw him blessing himself, he said. "Gor is it cract you are getting." "Ah", says the man. "My two Uncles are in that moat. And how do you know that says the young fellow. "I'll tell you how" says the man.
About forty years go, my grandfather was carrying a load of pigs to Limerick. He was living inside Hanley's and as there was a passage in there his two sons had to come(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
