- A man named Edmond Hayes used to make a syrup from herbs, it was a cure for sore throat He used to make it from "Horehound" and Dandelion. He boiled them together and make them into a syrup. There is another herb growen in the glen called "mocabuidhe" and they used to use it for bleaching the home made linen long ago.
