  2. One night there was a poor scholar in a certain house and while he was there the woman of the house gave birth to a baby boy. The poor scholar wrote a note and put it into a locket and hung it around the baby's neck. He gave instructions that the boy was not to open the locket, nor any body else either, until he was twenty-five years of age.
