- About seven years ago Maurice Donohure R.I.P. cut trees in a fort in Rathcahill. Shortly afterwards he got sick and had to remain in bed. About a week later one night Daniel Conway with other friends of his in Rathcahill saw four lights on a bridge about one hundred yards from Donohue's house. The lights rose up to the sky and descended again and shone around Donohue's house. While the lights were shining the cocks of the locality began crowing.
Maurice Donohue died about a quarter of an hour after the lights were seen.- Bailitheoir
