- People believe that children suffering from the whooping cough would be cured by going along the road until they meet a man driving a white horse. Another cure is to give the person suffering from it food left after a ferret. People believe they can be relieved from warts by placing a stone for each wart they have in a small bag and leaving them on a road believing that the person who first picks them up will take the warts. A cure for a pain in the back is to wrap a belt around it that had been left out on St. Brigid's eve. People put a frog into their mouth in the hope of getting rid of toothache.
People go to Molagga well for all kinds of ailments and many cures have been affected there from time to time. People drink the water and make rounds. They go around the well a certain distance repeating a Rosary at the same time. People who hope to get cured must make those rounds for three days and if on the third day they see a trout in the well it is said they will be cured. It is a(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
