  2. THE WART WELL
    In Timoleague Abbey, near the site of the altar, is a kind of font on the ground. The tide comes right up to the Abbey walls. When the tide is out the font contains only a little water but when it is in the water is said to rise in the font until it is full. As the tide recedes the font empties once more until only a drop is left. This water when rubbed to warts is supposed to cure them
