   Coomanore were great at hurling, and John Lyons. Ards, was a great man at football. Johnny Regan, Inchiclough was a great singer. He used to sing "An cailín deas crúidhte na mbó", and "Jimmie, mo mhíle stór." Jim O'Mahony, Moulakieve and Eugene Owen O' Sullivan, Coomleigh, were great story-tellers. Mark Cronin, Droumclough was the best man in the district for the hop - step - and jump, also for the high jump. He often won fame on many sport fields. He is now the Champion of Munster.
