- (continued from previous page)at the back of our house there is a Mass rock where the priest said mass long ago. One man that said mass was Father Phelan. Some nights he stopped in a hut in the Pike bogs and on Sunday morning he said mass in Carroll's field. Often the people hid around the sand pit in the Pike bog and often there was mass said there.
- There is a rath in James Carroll's farm in Mannin,it was where the people were buried long ago. There were fairies supposed to be seen there at night. There is a big light seen there. It comes down the(continues on next page)
