    in the East, the storm will be from the west or vice versa. The storm comes from directly opposite the rainbow.
    7. If distant mountains look very near and plain, rain near at hand.
    Between here and Donegal is Donegal Bay - 15 miles or so. When the houses, lands etc appear very clear and near hand rain coming in torrents.
    Sometimes, even the day may be clear, the whitewashed houses appear so near, that you would think you could leave your hand on them. The same applies to the mountains on the southside Benbulbin. Sheep grazing can be seen sometimes - 3 miles.
