- A grass mouse must be found. This is easy in the harvest season as many can be got in wet meadows. It is killed and then boiled in milk - fresh of course - and given unawares to person who has the complaint.
It won’t do if he or she knows that the mouse has been boiled in the milk.
- A sty on a person’s eye is cured in this way. The person goes to a gooseberry bush and plucks 10 thorns. He throws away 9 and then points the remaining one at the sty(continues on next page)
