Ar lorg mo stórach de bhuachaill gleoidhte
De scáile rósaí 'na leacain síos.
'Sé dubhairt mo stóirín ná bíodh brón ort
Beidh fear led' ais airís.
Níl bean uasal i gcaoi ná i gcruadhtan
Do bheith o bhuachaill deas dhá shórt
Do dhímtheóchad uaithe fá mar dhimthig uaimse
Gan fios a thuairisce marbh ná beo.Gheallais dod' Mháirín go dtréigfeá an Sáirsint
