They met the challenge outside Dublin near the village of Chapelizod and knowing this Englishman they informed him that for the sum of £100 the reward offered they could direct him to the home of Myles The Slasher. The Englishman was on the eve of handing over the money to Myles but the latter requested him to give it to his attendant and exclaimed "I am Myles the Slasher and prepare"(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
