   The most harmful weeds on a farm are as follows:
   Buchalans, nettles, dockins, rushes, robin round the hedge, white root, red shanks and black heads. The most harmful weeds for spreading are docking, nettles, robin round the hedge, white rot and red shanks. There are other weeds that spread rapidly and here are some.chicken weed, thistles, crowfoot and dandelion. A thistle and a whin always grow on good land. Sprat grows in no land but bad land. The herbs which cure diseases are plant leaf, dandelion, ferns, male fern and garlic. If you have a burn and get a piece of plant leaf and tie it on the burn you will be cured. If you have warts and squeeze the milk of the dandelion on them you will be cured. Dockin cures a nettle sting by rubbing it to it. A female fern cures a cow with a murrain and a male cures an animal which has the flukes. If your chickens have the pip give them garlic in their feeding and it will cure them .Crowfoot would cure an animal which is bleeding and cannot be stopped. The cows lip in olden times was named Palsywort because it was a cure for the palsy, a "wort" means plant.
   The bunch of petals were like a bunch of keys and for htat reason it was called "herb Peter of Heaven" because it is said the keys of Heaven were given to St. Peter.
