Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)and he used to work hard in the forge. One day he was putting shoes on a horse for another man and he was blowing the fire with the bellows and the sparks arose and flew up on the roof of the forge and the rafters caught fire and the forge got burned and the blacksmith escaped and ran out the door as soon as he saw it in fire. The man gave up his trade from that on sold his tools to another man.
It is said that the water that is left after the place where the blacksmith cools his irons after heating them in the fire is very good for any sort of lumps that would be on your hands. It is also said that there was a man long ago who was a blacksmith and his son was a blacksmith and that son got married and he had another son and he was a blacksmith. Each son learned the trade from each other.
