   "It was on Good Friday at twelve o'clock,
   When the Jews came with their spears so sharp,
   To pierce our Holy, and Blessed Redeemer through the Heart.
   And the Blood was shed, through Hand, and Heart,
   And the Blessed mother standing by,
   With a dismal look, and a mournful cry."
   Whoever says this prayer three times by day, three times by night.
   Need never fear danger deadly sin,
   Nor hell's fire to enter in.

   As Christ saw the cross,
   He trembled, and shook,
   The Jews asked "Was it fever or ague."
   Christ answered, and said, "Not".

   O, Jesus, how obedient You were,
   When at Nazareth You stayed,
   Make me just obedient,
   Throughout the whole day.
