    At that time they used to go to the towns and sell stockings. One day he went selling them he met a man. When the man came near him he began to cry and asked him who knitted his jersey. He said it was a girl he got in a coffin and three men carrying her. The man said she was his daughter. "She was taken from me on the first of November." Carolan brought him to his house to see if she was his daughter. When he went there she was his daughter. Carolan married her. Her father gave him a lot of money. They were happy together [ever] afterwards.
