  1. There is a fort in the townland of Carrowneden. And it is in the land of Thomas Moran. There is a lot of small bushes growing in the middle of it And there is a stone fence around it. One November's night a light was seen within in the middle of the fort at twelve o'clock. It is said that when a man named Andrew Grandley who is now dead was cutting bushes there one evening, and when he was bringing them home a light followed him, and he threw the sticks there and then the light
