  1. One very old person who is now dead found a gold candle stick and a silver one in the bog when cutting the turf. The treasure was found in the village of Cartron in the parish of Aughamore.
    It is said to have been worth over twenty pounds. It is not said who put it there but accidently, Miss Mary Drury found it.
    People say for a long time ? after it was found lights were seen wandering
    up and down the bog to see where it was
