  1. There was once a man named Andrew Forde. He could throw cast a half a mile away and could dig an acre of potatoes in the day. It is also said that he could lift hundreds of potatoes or any weight like that. It is said that he was about the strongest man in the County of Mayo. He walked from Baken to Dublin once in one wet day in the month of March and back again. It is said that he ate nothing all the way down from Dublin
