    Who have held our land in bondage fast in the depths of sheer dismay
    Though Bamba seeks for justice now
    with my dhuideen made of clay.

    I'd be thinking about our exiled land
    true children of the Gael,
    Who had to leave their Irish homes over stormy seas to sail.
    and, now, they are nation building in regions far away.
