  1. Prayer
    Sweet Mother we implore thee,
Give your ear into my prayers,
    Thy children kneel before thee,
    And claim their Mother care,
    Rentless foes assail thee,
Our strength and courage fail thee,
Then Mary sweet Mother listen tour prayers.
Say art thou not our Mother,
    Thy children are not we.
In heaven or earth no other
We own or love like thee.
    Their children mothers chorish,
Then canst thou see us perish,
    O Mary, sweet Mother,
    Sinners though we be.
