    In recent years there were great floods which caused considerable damage to houses.
    Any one living near a river, or on low lying land suffered severly.
    Nearly all their belongings, and stock were lost by the floods.
    The last snow-storm I remember occurred about six or seven years ago. It was a very heavy snow-storm. The snow drifted in many places.
    The roads were all blocked with snow, which made them impassible to traffic. Poor people that lived in bad houses
