    There were a great many old marriage customs in Kells in the old days, such as follows -
    There was a great wedding feast held in a house in Kilree, owned by Mr. Cahill.
    Mr. Cahill himself was the bridegroom and his bride was named Miss Fahy.
    During the wedding feast two "bridogues" or straw-boys entered unexpectedly. They began
