  1. There is a castle situated at a place called Rossmangher in the Sixmilebridge parish, in the barony of Bunratty. It was built in or about the year 1210 by the Mc Namera's of Co. Clare and was occupied till about the middle of the sixteenth century.
There is a legend attached to it. It is supposed to be haunted.
The story goes that there are many crocks of gold buried in is strong room. Anyone who tries to get at its hiding place are confounded by three armed soldiers or the spirit of three soldiers who always frighten people away.
