  1. Holy Wells
There is a holy well situated about a quarter of a mile from my home. It is in the townland called the glebe. It name is Tobar Chriost .The water that is in it is supposed to be a cure for sore eyes? If a person visited the well nine Saturdays in succession and bathed his eyes with the water they would be cured.
There are prayers also to be said. Everyone who visits the well leaves some piece of China or a piece of money after them, or else it would be no use in visiting the well.
