  1. Saint Fionnacta is the patron Saint of this parish. He is buried in Ballysheen Church yard, His altar is still to be seen in good repair. There was a bell and chalice on the altar, but when people went to get them, they had been thrown into the river O'Garney which flows by. This bell is supposed to ring every seven years. Before he died he said that no one should be killed by lightning in this parish.
    There is a window in the chapel which belongs to the Saint.
