    Owing to the fact that the weather has much to do with the saving of the crops the people have signs of the weather in every district. The following are signs of good weather.
    1. A red sky in the evening
    2. When the mist is clear on Bruce Mountain
    3. When the whistle of the train can be heard from Cavan
    4. When the ducks come home late in the evening.
    5. When the smoke goes up straight
    6. When the swallows fly high
    7. When the frogs are yellow
