  2. I tie two light sticks together, each a foot long, and glue light brown paper to the sticks, and put patches along the paper to hold it to the sticks. Fasten strong twine to one of the sticks. Put a tassel of paper to the end of the stick. Take a hold of the twine, and let the kite into the air.

  3. The toy I made was a top. I got a spool, and pared one end of it to a point. Then I made a little whip to spin it with. The way I made the whip was I got a stick, and a piece of strong twine, thenI tied the twine to the stick, and spun it round. The top stayed up a long time, when I spun it.
