  1. Long ago when there were no motor cars no bicycles or no trains, a priest was riding on horseback by Drumlane Abbey Millton Belturbet Co Cavan. Just as he was passing by his big white horse was stopped by a ghost and neither priest or horse would move. The priest started to pray and prayed that the ghost would go out and stay on the island in Drumlane lake. It did so and horse and priest rode on. Every night since a light is seen on the island and goes up to the top of the round tower.
