    Ag dul a' chodhladh duit.

    Here I lay down my head to sleep,
    I give my soul to God to keep
    And if any evil touches me,
    Oh Blessed Jesus waken me,
    That I may have my eyes to see,
    And my right hand to bless me.
    There are four corners on my bed
    There are four angels overhead,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
    God bless this bed that I lay on.
