    St. Mogue is the Patron Saint of this district and he lived on an island called St. Mogue's island which is on Templeport lake. He founded a church called Templeport.
    Some people say that he went to the north of England under the name St. Aiden and he christianised the people there.
    There is the ruins of an old church on that island and there are people buried there still.
    The clay on that island is supposed to be used for a cure. There are no people in this district called after him.
