    closely together, when planted.
    They are sprayed as soon as they are big enough, to prevent blight. A spraying machine is sued for this purpose.
    Sometimes they are sprayed twice. The most of the potatoes are dug in Autumn.
    Men dig them up with spades, and sometimes the children pick them. They are then put into pits in the ground and covered with dry rushes. Clay is put outside the rushes, and so the potatoes are stored, for winter use.
