  1. The fairs are mostly held near the towns in fair greens. The local fairs in my district are held in Blacklion and Belcoo
    Buyers sometimes come to buy the cattle to the farmers houses.
    There is twopence toll paid on calves, fourpence on heifers, and sixpence on cows. before they are allowed into the fair green. Mr Dolan of Blacklion gets the money The man who sells the cattle always gives luck money to the buyer. The amount of luck-money varies according, to the price of the animal sold. When the bargain is made the men strike hands to show they agree to the price
