There is a rock near my home and it is called "Hanging rock" because it hangs out over the road. It is hundreds of feet high, and there there is a legend that there was a man with a horse, and cart of salt buried under part of it, which fell down one night. There is another rock called "Murtagh's Rock", it is so called because a man named Murtagh fell down it one night when he was returning from Blacklion and he was killed. It is a very steep rock and there are steps up one side of it. Some of the fields on my father's farm are the "calf park" so called because there are calves kept in it. The "bridge field" got its name from a bridge that is beside it.
