  1. There was a man and he lived not far from Hacketstown. One night he was out rambling. He used to go home through the fields and once he delayed playing cards and when he was going home, he saw a light in a field, but he never minded, and went into the field. He went into the field and was kept going round it all night. At day light he got out of the field and never went through the fields any more at night.
